I've recently received two requests from VK's that got stomped before a QSO could be completed . All we were able to get were partials over several grey line attempts , before the Kalifornia Kilowatts descended. Since I'm not hiding from anyone and check my email often enough , here is a request for a sked ?!

If you have a callsign , look the station up and request a sked . I've found that selecting several times convenient for you works best . I received several times from the VK and we got it done first opening, before the lids came in.

Because of urban noise and at least one 11m moron I don't have the ears for Europe. I just don't bother. The southern hemisphere is a little different being mostly over water. There at least I stand a chance.

Anecdote: When attempting the original contact I began calling CQ around a tune-up @ 14.160. I was a bit surprised that I received and answer. I tried to complete the exchange only to unkey and hear " UP UP UP UP UP !" After the station finished blasting his call for 10 minutes I wrote it down for future , ehem , whatever. *

When I had settled down a bit I emailed the idiot station and asked , politely, if he remembered the exchange and was he aware he was interfering? The response was "Everyone knows what UP means" , "That's the way it works, get the big dogs out of the way so you little stations can fight over the scraps" , "get a signal" , "quit your whining" , "learn to operate your radio" , "don't bother to respond I've blocked your email address you whining biotch".
He's a recent general license .

Life on the big radio when you're having fun. If you want the contact fight for it . Make the email contact and don't whine , get even , put it in the log. Some of us have to work harder for our log entries . So be it . I'm not ever going to let the unwashed masses of morons control my radio experience. I'm too busy having fun.

14.160...general class...even hams can act like turkeys!

I suppose I should be relieved that all of the idiots aren't crowding my small neighborhood on the airwaves (CB), but it is a sorry state of affairs when someone who's got their ticket resorts to that kind of crap.

14.160...general class..edit....

I would just wait on about .160, and ... the next time he transmitted, the newbie would get an on the air education.
