Who are you on the air?

We all talk to each other on the air. There is a good chance that many of us have talk to each other without knowing it.

Many of us may have a local Persona that differs from our online persona.

In my city I am known as Stratocaster. However, online, I am known as Loose Cannon. If you reach me on sideband I will use the numbers 410.

So, how are the rest of you identified on DX Communications as opposed to your local handle?
LC

Would that be a Squier Strat, Mexican Strat or U.S. made?

On SSB it is 404 in the Florida Keys.

On AM it usually communicating from the boat to the house. We all use our boat names down here for that. Mine is Challenger, as in the old British research ship that circumnavigated the globe from 1872-1876 (discovering the Mariana trench in the process) and the subsequent, same-named modern research vessel. NASA named their space shuttle years later, but I suspect it was in the spirit of the two I mention here.

my first electric guitar was a squier. black with a white pickguard. since i was blond with short hair i got called brian adams by a few friends LOL.

I now have a few, and while the US made ones are the highest quality, my favorite is my japanese '62 re-issue.
the neck on that thing must have come from the center of a really old, and huge tree, because the grain pattern is to die for, and it will never twist or warp no matter how you treat it.
I used to say that i would play that guitar in a steam room LOL.

Could very well be because I was on yesterday late afternoon and into the evening.

Conditions were changing really fast. Someone would come back to me - or me to them - and then the bottom would drop out almost immediately. It happened with several stations. We'll have to try again.

I got my first real six-string
Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played it 'til my fingers bled
Was the summer of sixty-nine
