What I see initially looks good where you made the QSO. The exchange is there with signal reports and 73. Sometimes you have to TX the same message repeatedly to get through but that's normal.

The only thing that looks wrong is your next CQ, your call is now highlighted green.

Has this always happened after a completed QSO? It could be the software setting in the Colors tab option if you made changes.

Or, it could be just a glitch in the program because that green highlight does look the same as what's seen on the Band activity message window.

I would report it if it keeps happening.

No actually I don't because I will never run FT8 or any digital. I have nothing agaist anyone that runs it but I have zero interest in digital anything.
My reply to you was only a joke. I dabbled with FT8 but I only see it's use for filling the logbook quickly and/or getting a WAS or DXCC faster.

I prefer PSK31 because you can actually converse with someone rather than just send canned messages even though it's done with a keyboard.

I thought the same way about digital modes before I tried it.

Years ago I set my station up so I can remotely operate it from my laptop anywhere I have internet including my phone in hotspot mode. This setup took the same radio/computer configuration as what's required for working digital modes. This is what lead up to me trying some of them.

There are other types of radio that some people scrutinize as not being real radio too like Echolink, IRLP, and others.

The good thing with Amateur Radio is there's plenty of choices and there's something for everyone!

Agree 100%...computers to computers IMHO is not radio.
FT8 has almost made conventional mode operation on 6m a wasteland.
I'll keep to SSB/CW because, I'm Bull headed and,
Do it the HARD way!

I have echolink on my phone as well. It's cool to check into the weekly net from anywhere in the country BUT its still voice and I prefer verbal interaction. FT8 does nothing for me.. Did some packet back in the 90s when I first got my ticket... meh.. not my thing..

I never had that happen and none of my friends seen that before i though it was funny..
I was calling CQ and it "looks like i am hearing my self" with a -24db single now i know that might be impossible because my single would have to be bouncing around the world for like 8 sec..
I was on 6 meters by the way..

for people that don't know i am Calling CQ "in yellow" and then some how i heard myself in "Blue"..

I occasionally work the East Coast Reflector with my HT into a local repeater. It's an IRLP system that has strict rules, no computers or smartphones are allowed directly into the network. The concept is to keep the “radio” aspect intact while taking advantage of the digital internet that these repeaters or personal nodes are connected to. IMO It’s a great compromise.

This thread is tuning into a digital modes bashing thread.

The OP started the thread to show something he thought was amusing how a radio program made an error and the responses didn't address the subject, instead it was an opportunity to bash FT8 and digital modes in general.

This sort of compares to a Ham vs CB argument because of a disdain for a certain mode of Amateur operation.

Why not bash CW? There's no question that it does have historical significance but it is not voice, it's sounds like a bunch of beeps to people who don't know what it is.

Now if you guys are going to come down on me for this you are going to prove my point...

73 Gentleman and happy Fathers day to all!
