Kopcycle was right about refrigerant.in big trucks we used to have roof mounted air conditioners now they are in the dash
The roof mounted ac would freeze you out.the dash units cool you.
We learned in school heat rises cold loweres.we have engineers that dont use basic skills apperently

Well while this hasn’t blown up yet, I still think it’s a dumb idea, it will turn loose sooner or later. If you do this on your own, know what you’re getting yourself into and the potential problems.
If you’re thinking of buying a 955 that’s been done this way, make sure you get the extended warranty and it’s from a reputable shop.
Pass the MaxMod option up and don’t fool with it, this radio has had both the MaxMod and TIP36c in it, no difference between the two - none.
Pass on the 520 thing unless they’re in it already, most now are but the 13N10’s give a little more power (like you need it with this crazy idea).
Might want to opt for an on/off switch for the amp, maybe?

Still going... doesn’t seem to really be as impressive as expected however. Many bugs left to work though, maybe it’ll get better after that?

When this idea came to me as a dream I thought nobody else had done it, I was wrong. That means anyone else trying it has experienced the same issues I have with this, a lot of them.
But it’s holding together. It works pretty good but it still has issues, would be better with just a regular amp behind it and not that ridiculous thing strapped to the bottom.
