Florida - What city are you in; what are the active local channels

Here's a bump to try to bring some additional life to this thread. Since the last entry, we had almost 100 visits. I'd like to encourage folks to chime in and offer their local knowledge of active CB channels across the Sunshine State.

BOLO (be on look out):

We've got a cold front that is supposed to work its way through our state on Halloween. My experience is that these bring us a lot of of E layer, short hop skip - the kind that let's us talk within the state.

Should be interesting.

I did talk to the one of the farther If not farthest local from me around 100 miles from Daytona beach to near crystal river. Great qso and both of us could hear each other loud and clear!! Hopefully there will be more to come. This was early this morning around 6am. Quiet out and no traffic on 38lsb.

About this time last year, we had a front blow through and give us hours of heavy rains. I drove from the lower Keys into Miami and had Pensacola, Palm Harbor, Port Orange, Daytona Beach, Apopka and a bunch of other Florida stations rolling in the whole time.

Recently, I've picked up a fair amount of short-hop, in-state skip. Specifically, there seems to be a whole crew of operators in the Panama City area. I've spoken to 514 in Fountain a few times, 1122 Wingnut near Panama City, 447 in Panama City Beach and one or two others. Occasionally, I'll pick a station in Pensacola and one in Tallahassee.

There is a station in Naples - either 985 or 785 - that I can pick up occasionally. I doubt that is skip as he is about 100 miles from me as the crow flies.

Anybody else in Florida picking up skip within our state?
