Anytone AT-6666 Replacement Electret Microphone

We’ll never get to the bottom of this, like how many licks with the tootsie roll pops thing.

I sent Ralph a whole case, he has yet to give me a straight answer except “3”.

The best replacement microphone cartridge I have found is the WESTERN ELECTRIC Model EL2 Electret/FET. it was used as the mic element in the 4A and 6A speakerphones. Designed by Bell Labs and built by WECo. Film electret cartridge followed by a FET preamp. High output and crystal clear audio. 600 ohm output impedance. 5-15 VDC power. Two 5 volt hearing aid batteries will run it practically forever.

A friend who worked at Western "liberated" a few dozen for me. Good units that failed the Bell System EQ curve test. Scheduled to be trashed. I use one on any CB that requires a power mike. I have seen them listed on the surplus market for about 10 bucks each.
