Comments Disabled as always BBi and MMM

I actually watched most of this video on Saturday. I didn't care for the part where John was starting to talk about different methods of wide banding a transmitter and just when he started talking about direct injection it was edited it out.

I watched the video because I believe MMM is a sharp guy and there might be something to learn. I did make note of the processing software he's started using.

I felt like mr bbi was getting irritated when MMM had intelligent things to say that he couldn't fully comprehend. There were a few times where he could have told Luke that he was full of shit and should stop talking, but apparently he's a very polite man.

I think it was more of a bbi shit show than an interview. Many times he just couldn't keep his mouth shut. He would try to finish John's sentences to convince everyone he knew something about the subject.

BBI lives very close to me. Been over to his place a few times. Nice guy. When I hear him on 11 meter I shut mine down. His signal is pegging my meter. I had a Navaho radio I heard him on one day. It began to drift badly and never recovered.

I took it in to a local tech to have it checked out. I knew something was wrong. He told me the radios PLL circuit was fried. It was 5 channels off. Of course there are not parts to fix it so I lost that old radio. Miss that radio.

I'm sure it was coincidence but I just won't take that chance again with the radio I have replaced the Navaho with. He seems to know his stuff. Sure knows a lot more than I ever will about building an amp. He is close enough to me when he fires one up it can sure do a number on the front end of a radio I am on. So I use a crappy cheap one to listen in on him now. My regular one gets shut down. He sure sounds like he is having fun. Isn't that what the hobby is all about?

That sucks. I thought a guy with a 24 pill was going to fry my 29 one morning. I was listening to him on my way to work and as the two highways we were on merged together our antennas ended up about 10 feet apart.

The receiver made an awful noise and my reflect meter started to come up, the antenna warning light on the radio came on...I think it was still glowing a bit after I turned the radio off. That was #5 in the diesel car. I met him a few years later at the local cb shop.

If I ever crossed paths with bbi I'd shake his hand and buy the first round. I don't dislike him because I don't know him. I think it's great that he takes time to make the videos, but when he doesn't know something he just rambles off a bunch of bull shit. You don't have to know everything to be a good technician.

MMM is very laidback & mellow. Never gotten the chance to meet him, only briefly chat over the air with him as I was passing through his locale.
Hear him more than a few times on the air as he does have quite a bit of power. Then again, so does BBI. Pretty sure it was him a few weeks back that was pegging my meter, he kept saying he was in Idaho, & I'm just north of Santa Barbara ,Ca.
