hi all,

specifically i am looking for the display board, or at least that's what i think i need.

I have one here that was bought at a garage sale and was definitely someone's shop radio.
it seriously looks like they were welding near this radio LOL.

so, the right side of the LCD display is messed up. The very last digit of the frequency shows as a 7 no matter what, and to the right of that, random things will blink on the screen, and when you try to turn on the RIT or XIT, the digits and words are all jumbled up.

found a dead clock battery, replaced it and did a microprocessor reset, but no change.

i guess im open to both advice and parts.

got a response from Paul.
he agreed that the display board needs to be replaced but didn't have any for sale.
oh well, the search continues.

Sorry LC: Was hoping they could help you. Might try posting and add on QTH.com. You might get lucky. There was at one time a guy in Texas? (KF5- KE5 ???) had a bunch of KW parts rigs. He always has listings for KW Hybrids etc. listed off/on.

This maybe him.
Several versions of the 570 on QTH. ($400-500 range)
. However no parts rigs.
East Coast Transistor(KW parts supplier) has purged all display parts on the 570 as discontinued.

really appreciate the help Gary.

There are people parting them out on ebay but no display boards as of right now.

Your suggestion to talk with Paul was the right one, because even though he didn't have any in stock, he at least let me know i was on the right track in replacing it.

the good news is that this person already has another TS-570 and this was a garage sale find, so it's just going to sit here until i eventually find the board.

I'll update the thread if i do find one or if anything else changes.
thanks again.
