I had done testing before using my Ranger 296 and RM203 in the house.
I had used 6' jumpers to accommodate my shelf setup and wiring.. (had gone 6' down and 6' back up) I was able to whistle to like 110w or so max and my voice peaks were 40-60w with RM203 on in SSB mode which to me sucked.
Well I pulled my AT-6666 out to the truck for a good SSB mobile and brought the RM203 back in that was on my Cobra 29, this time I used my old short 18-20" coax from the truck and my output with the RM203 nearly doubled.
So here is my peak voice saying 590.. and then me with a whistle now at like 140w..
Much better. So sometimes maybe the jumper length does matter..
And with whistle.. about 140w
