Hi Gang,
So, I am just finishing the Superbase which has been a hand full. When I got it, it was held together with 3 screws including the ones holding the boards in. I just finished the transmit offset mod and began the alignment. The one strange thing I am experiencing is that I get audio feedback similar to talk back during transmit. I was unable to locate a talkback mod for this radio so I could undo it so I am hoping someone can give me some thoughts. I am soooo close.......

Thanks as always!!!

Do you get the audio feedback even with the mike gain turned down?

Show off pictures when you are done.

So, if it's "similar to talkback" does this mean you can hear it coming out of the speaker in the Superbase?

Or do you have to be listening to it with another radio to hear the noise?

Big difference.

Hey Nomad, its coming out of the speaker in the Superbase.

Well, that's completely wrong.

First thing I would do is unplug the mike. See if the receiver audio volume drops when you do.

If you hear nothing at all, this makes it sound like the mike is causing the talkback.

And if the receiver volume drops, but won't go away that sounds like the talkback was installed on purpose.

And if the volume does not drop at all, I'll be surprised.

Thanks Nomad!!! I found that the ext. speaker jack was bent causing a slight connection. Why it was causing the feedback I'll never know. The radio is now complete. After 6 months (on and off) of work. WOW, does that feel good!!!
