ATTACHED TO EXISTING ANTENNA MAST?

Can one of these sirio's be attached to an existing antenna mast? When 808 comes over to install my new IMAX 2000 I'd like to also put up a horizontal dipole for dx'ing. But another mast isn't possible due to space restraints. Is it okay to install one of these dipoles (below) the IMAX 2000 on the same mast without adversely affecting the transmitting capabilities of either antenna (swr/poor performance?) I already own an extra Dawia 2 position antenna switch. I'm assuming a bracket would have to be made (or bought) in order to get the dipole a few feet away from the mast? Is this possible? 73

It wouldn't be too hard to make a bracket out of flat plate aluminum with U bolts. Of course you will also need another run of coax to go with the dipole too.
I'm going to wonder isles of home Depot and Lowe's. I might find something that will work with a bit of machining. I have a neighbor who has a machine shop in his garage. I'm not exactly sure what he builds but I know he works with metals. I'm thinking all that needs to be is about 2 feet away from the mast. I do know about second length of coax. I get a 15% discount from the eBay seller I've been buying coax from. The length of LMR 400 I would need for the dipole would probably cost me about $120. By time you make the second trip to put up the IMAX I should be financially good to go. There is a local who has the same Sirio dipole. When he's on his IMAX he doesn't do so well while dxing. It's amazing how well he does when he switches over to the horizontal dipole. I always wanted one. I have an 11:00 meeting dipol. Being that it needs to be supported on both ends would make it impossible with the lack of backyard room. Since the sirio is a rigid antenna all it needs is a single support. I'll play it by ear.

I reported that it's a Sirio. Forgive mr. It's a Sigma super DP 1/2 wave. Chris. After reading your reply again I thought maybe you might not be up to do this. If it might be to much I will understand and am happy with the fact that youll be putting my IMAX 2000 up. I would love to have a horizontal antenna for shooting skip. Once you put the IMAX 2000 up there's no way it's coming back down in order to install a dipole on the 2000's mast. I don't want to purchase the dipole unless you're willing to install it when you put the 2000 up. We'll talk about it weeks beg6be we decide what will be a good time for you to come by. I'll be seeing you before the 2000's install as you need to pick up your items (and mine.)
