Hello everyone. does anyone know how to do the frequency conversion on the new galaxy 99v2 ? Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

I can’t find any info on how to do mods to this radio, or to even convert the thing

I really don't think you need to "mod the radio". Try one of the links above(for a frequency conversion) and if the radio is not right: align it or take it to a place that can. They can be good. Will be a drifter on SSB. No hoping up is required. They are hoped up.

Does the 99v and the 99v2 share the same board? Somehow I thought they were different.

I had my old 99v tuned years ago,dont know what he did but it takes couple minutes to warm up then dont drift

The Galaxy literature stated it shared the 98VHP board (so, is THAT like the old 99?)
