I'm new to the world of cb radio's and im needing some help with my antenna setup. I currently drive a 2019 Casadia and have a new Cobra 29. For my antenna from the radio to the Wilson 2000 are all Wilson products. Im getting ant warning light and 3+ swr ( used external meter). Nothing I tried has helped. Ran a ground to door hinge bolt with the same results. Using a perch through the mirror mount.
I connected to the factory antenna built in to the freightliner. Swr dropped to 1.2 on channel 19, however the warning light still flickers and im lucky to get 1 mile range. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Tune your antenna on the vehicle at the location where it will be mounted.
Communication Radio equipment is not plug and play. Antennas need to be tuned.

I haven't ran to the frame. I plan on going over and work on it tomorrow. I'll take some photos to post of what I've got and swr readings to post. I've tried to tune it by sliding the whip. May need a longer whip to get more height. Just not sure

Your only hope for a Cascadia is to obtain a "bird perch" mount. Bolts to two existing screws to the rear of the door frame. Provides a chassis ground for a traditional west-coast type mirror antenna mount. This way you can use a "real" antenna instead of the factory CB-dummy load provided with the truck.

I know that the Cascadia has issues with this bus mirrors and doors. Jeep folks that mount there antennas on the tire holder get a great benefit from running a ground from the antenna mount to the frame. Also like Tallman said you will still have to tune it. Hopefully in an area free of obstructions.

I think he is running a Wilson perch.
Running a single stud perch on drivers side bottom mirror bolt hole

Those trucks have a bonding issue between mount, the cab and the frame. When it is all said and done...find someone that has an antenna analyzer to set your antenna up and look for the lowest reactance X=0 (resonant point) NOT the lowest SWR. .

Make sure all you adjustments are made out in the open and NOT near metal objects, example not in a garage or parking lot with cars parked next to you. These will affect your adjustments.

Ok.. will ground to frame. Question, would it be better to ground off the same bolts or just hinge to firewall, firewall to frame?
