Very interesting portable rotor


The output shaft of the SCOUT rotor, features a ½"-NPS thread, with a standard 3/8-24 tapped hole in the center. This universal rotor shaft, accommodates both the Buddipole Versa Tee, as well as our EASY-T antenna mounts.

Mounting

The SCOUT comes standard with U-Bolts that will mount to a 1-inch diameter mast/pole. Masts/poles larger than 1-inch requires, our optional Universal U-Bolt Adapter, which will accommodate up to a 1-1/2" diameter mast/pole.

Yeah I got that thanks. Been out all day and haven't had a chance to check in here until now. Looks pretty neat. I wonder if it would handle a small VHF yagi like 5 elements on 2m perhaps.
 
I noticed it said vertical dead weight should be under 20 pounds. I bet it'd handle a decent size yagi. Mentions an electric break. I'd like to see the internals. I imagine the gearing is stout. I'm considering ordering one. The u bolts accept 1" diameter mast, but they have an adapter to fit larger. Probably easy to fab something up.

Anyways, lots of possibilities.
