Thought these items would sell fast but it took two days. The coax alone was worth the $100 ($100.85 at HRO). Everything else was basically free. You guys should know by now that if I'm selling something, it's gonna be a good deal. This one wasn't a true Random Act of Kindness, but it was close. (y)

Thanks Riverman. Glad I jumped at the chance. New radio should be here about same time. Hope that Mega Watt is enough to push.

John, I believe the 2970n2 requires 32 amps @ full power.
The MegaWatt S-350-12 is rated 30 amps continuous w/33 peak. Gonna be close with the radio cranked all the way up.

That pwr supply will fit well with my palomar 450LD. Asked Clay's to send a spec sheet of tune from the Ranger I ordered. Hope to have the actual draw on it.

Next project is to get both 148's back functioning.
More $$$$$ I guess. For got the SR497 needs help too. Lightning strike took out amp board and who knows what.

Been running radio off camper converter. Amp off battery supplied by same converter. Not really a substantial amount of head room.

Had been wanting a Mega Watt to run PC66 and either the 225 or 450. I'm dwn to just AM now. Missing LSB 38.

Clay at Clay's Radio let me know max draw is 28..familiar with the Mega Watt ....says pwr will be fine.

Still plan on getting the bigger Mega Watt.

Working on quad. Now what scrap around the farm do I have for a mast?
