1011D Comanche Radios were the latest version of the Swan/Siltronix1011 model radios. They are one piece transceivers. Far as I know all of the 1011 Siltronix's were one piece.

But then again what I know is limited and I can't remember. Maybe it's supposed to have a separate receiver and that's why I think it doesn't work anymore. o_O

Date on back of the Rat's radio is 1977. That's 34 years younger than me so it's OK for me to not remember things.

No not the watt meter , not sure I think mine had a separate PS ? Anyway I thought it was 2 pieces ?
Maybe you’re thinking about one of the Swans. Many of those are two piece units like the 350, 500, and 700. They could cover 11 meters with a simple capacitor change and tweak within the VFO box. The 400 (3 piece with no internal VFO) was one of my favorites. Using the required external VFO greatly reduced drift by getting away from all the tube heat.

Thanks Sun , My mistake it was a Swan , now that I think about it ! Audio , I'll have to drag it out from under my bench & take a few pic's ! The problem is I moved & lost the cover ! Actually found (2) 6LQ6's NOS the other day while cleaning the shack . I know the tubes were weak that's why I got new ones many years ago . Might have to fire the Old Girl up ! It always worked well . Now I have to make time to play w/it . But snows coming in the NE Corner Soo ..... ? 73 , Leo
