silver eagle 200, relay working backwards?

all of a sudden my silver eagle amp isn't receiving. i checked the small relay and it seems if you pull up on the contacts it will receive but in its " resting " state i get no receive. if i hold up on the contacts and key it will draw down and make power. almost like the relay is working backwards? not sure if this makes sense to anyone because it sure doesn't to me.
 

Have a look at the contacts when you shut off the power.

Do they return to receive position?

If the relay is the problem, you won't have receive whether the power is on or off.

If the keying circuit is the trouble, shutting down power will restore the radio's receive.

upon closer looking i see where the contact is burnt off reply. any ideas where we can get a relay for a silver eagle 200? its very small

Does the relay by chance have a part number on it?

I worked on one for a friend 20 some years ago, and if I remember correctly it was a little tiny pcb mounted relay.

Is that what you’re working with?

I have the small reed type relay used in RMItaly linears. The relays are at the bottom of the circuit board. One white and the other is black.
