Well I just got my 27" 10K and I am impressed, I also got the stud for it and I have a couple mounting questions. First off, the stud that kale makes-does it come with a nut to tighten, mine did not come with anything? Second, Is there a nut or lockwasher I should use? And third, I am looking for a heavy duty L bracket to bolt on to my bed rail of my Tacoma, any ideas? :D

Here is a link to the mount that I am using.Boss hawg antenna mount

It isn't an L bracket but is a gripping mechanism that might suit your needs.
The truck in their pics is my old '98 F-150. I was also able to use it on my '04 when I traded trucks.

Hope this helps!!

jeffrice6, I build two types of mounts. One for the so239 coax connector and one for the heavy duty for the lug terminal. It sounds like there are some parts missing. If you will email me or call 817-790-6239 and let me know more about it, maybe I can help fix the problem. cowtown10k@msn.com. Kale

STAY AWAY FROM THE WILSON GUMDROP!!!!

Barjan, in their attempt to separate you from your money, has put the Wilson name on a horribly designed gumdrop mount. If you own this mount and you are having problems with your antenna system, check the gumdrop first! After a guy went through 12 of them, I broke one open to find that the brass stud snaps inside.

My choice, but over kill for the P10K, is the HI-Q mount:

Agree on the Wilson gumdrop mount, poor quality. The one I'm using is manufactured by Firestik. I got the L bracket part of my gripper mount tapped for the threads of an SO-239. The gumdrop mount just screws into the L bracket and I snugged a retaining nut on the bottom side and attached the PL-259 and sealed it off from any possible moisture with 3M rubberized sealant tape. Had it that way for several years on the '98 with no problems and so far so good on the '04. I've wacked my share of low hanging branches on back country roads here in the mountains. I do have a fold-down antenna that I install while on vacation in case I encounter low ceiling parking garages, otherwise I normally run with the Coily.

You can check the one that Mr. Coily has. I have it mounted on the roof of the truck for 2 yrs now and I like it.
Here is a picture of it.
