QSLing 11 Meter contacts

MIne is very plain....needs an upgrade. Didn't realize how flashy and colorful 11 Meter guys tended to make them!

But I will say this...it can get expensive (or at least more expensive than I would have guessed). With every card sent youre paying for the card, the envelopes, international postage, and $2-3 contribution for your return card.

I've sent a couple dozen, and nothing back yet :)

And of course, now that I posted this I finally realize the zip code is wrong. LMAO..

Good thing Im sending a self-adressed envelope!

Nice card(y) I haven't had a QSL card made for many years, but you're sure giving me food for thought - ;)

dledlinger - Got the same card here too

This is pretty exciting for me, Larry. I need to calm my nerves a little, so I don’t continue to check the mail 10x per day - haha. Took a few weeks for my card to reach Luiz, and 22 days from when he mailed it to receive his.

Hard to wrap my head around it, but I suspect a month and half is probably a very good timeline! In the mean time I am happy to see emails flowing that confirm receipt of my cards!

Thanks for all your contributions to this thread, and also others. What fun!

I am very tempted today to buy another rig and some gear for the house, as much as I enjoy mobile DXing.

I have to get past that BIG question, much like buying a new gun. The question, of course, is “why not”?

Well dledinger, just a couple more years to gooooooooo. You will be hearing S. America really well by then.

You better get the gear for the house & beam of course.

I just got a Holo sight two days ago, mounted it on my Beretta 303 today, looks good, now ready for the coyotes!!

This thread brings back memories of when I first caught the DX bug back when I was a teen. I was affiliated with several clubs, some I cant remember. I do remember being pretty active with the "Ozark Sidebanders" I was 2OSB092 and with Echo Tango where I was 2ET106. Had a ton of fun back then and dug out the old shoe box to share a few... 20191130_083042.jpg 20191130_082950.jpg

During the last cycle I became friends with several operators out of 19 div (Netherlands) and would join there roundtable every morning from the mobile on my way to work. They were members of the Lima Victor dx group. Since I have mostly gone by just "630" and it was available I has issued 2LV630. I worked numerous entities in Europe with this call last cycle though I did not qsl with them.

One of the LV guys was a tower crane operator. He ran a 2970 and IMAX or A99? from his perch in the sky. He would blast me out of the car almost every morning from across the pond.

They still have a web presence and hopefully when the next cycle comes around I can catch up with my old friends.
