Cost more to get sick if you stay overnight in their hotel.Check those rates for a Suck bed & Suck food on top of that & they keep waking you up asking if you need something to help you sleep. LOL One night stay cost more than a funeral because I have been there & buried three close family members in the last 4 years so I know the costs of those more than I cared to ever know.Living & dying both are not cheap so be careful.

I've instructed what little family I have left, to dispose of my remains the cheapest way possible. I think spending small fortunes on elaborate funerals are rediculous.

When I was a much younger man I worked at a local Funeral Home.It was for sure an interesting job & we always did a great job because none of our clients ever complained.I assure you that the things that get done to the human body when you are embalmed are far from nice & if you were alive they would be more than painful so be happy that you are dead when they start the procedure. It's not pretty or fun but it is needed so it's a must do.I thought that the strangest thing was that many wooden coffins can cost far more than a metal coffin because many are hand made but it does not matter which one you get they are all going to end up full of dirt, mud,& everything else eventually be dust so spend your money wisely.Time will for sure WIN the final race.We are all dying to leave even if we are not in a hurry we are for sure leaving this world sooner or later & it's not a contest to see who can do it the best so be safe because we only get one chance so live it like it's Special because it is.God bless.

Second and third wives are usually worth more.

It depends upon what state you are in & each funeral home has their own pricing for the lay away plan.I saw many years ago where they were burying folks in some states standing up due to lack of space for new graves. Some are now also being buried on top of each other in a vault. They are stacking them like crackers in a box.Cremation is the cheapest route that I am aware of but I made reservations to miss the fire so they will be throwing me in a hole in our family cemetery in our family plot.No fees for that part for our family which can be a huge savings. It also cost extra if you get buried on a Sunday here in Florida so a week day is OK with me.If you ever wonder what they do to a body there are videos on YouTube that show pretty much everything if they have not be removed along with complete autopsy videos.

When I worked on the squad, I used to get tired of the Funeral home only sending one person to retrieve the body. We were required to remain on scene of a DOA, until the Police or Coroner showed up. Frequently, the Funeral dude would show up and ask us to help him load the body up. After a few times, I told him he needs to start bringing a helper. They make enough to hire a helper.
