11 meter is very quiet?

Sorry, can't like that. When humidity gets high here so do noise level. Old transformers. Humidity even effects the swr here. Usually 1.10:1 high humidity runs a 1.6:1.

Scooch yer chair back.
Lengthen mike cord.

Radios don’t like the beer-midity comes from an a capella , “Texas, Our Texas”, during lulls.

(I just got into new big truck. Same old stuff all over again, in different paint color. Wish it were so simple to fix).

Can't stand dry mouth, only quenched with Lone Star and TaKillya!:)

Sorry, no "not like" button for your tractor swap. Does keep ya busy, tho.

Funny, it's upper 30's then today feels like summer. Q-Bert just quit jumping on the band, just static now. She's dwn 1.10:1, although the built in registers 1. Thanks to Riverman I have a slightly used MJF-870 that is accurate. But wont leave it inline so mother freaking nature can strike it with Thor's Hammer again.

Got two boat "wenches" commingo_O. One for current breakover and one for the planned new and improved Redbeard Drill Pipe #2.

Get the omni down swapping out the isolator. .....20200126_110514.jpg
One on left is one I built. Hope it will keep the dew off that lily better. The thinner one, I feel, allows some moisture to bridge. Maybe I can market it. Takes a longer modified hex stud tho.

Nope, ain't gonna back off the mic any....plan to chew on it like a "trucker". Maybe get me some over modulation and walk awl over town with it.

I am waiting for my 102" whip to arrive. Should improve my reception, I hope.

102” Whip gets it done. Welcome to the forum. Lots of good people & info here. (y)

Yes welcome, especially since you are running a 102". Most of us are crazy to insane, and some what unpalatable.

People often say that they haven't seen one of those in years, meaning my 102. I just smile and wave, smile and wave. Gets best performance hands down.(y)

Its active here in mornings on 2 meters and 70 cm. I get on simplex with a few others,we solve world problems but nobody cares
Cool....invisible friends and world problems. :coffee: The best I can do is talk to myself, sometimes I answer myself.

11m is just dead.:( I could get the drivers on 19 looking for the right gate and redirect them for kicks and giggles, but that gets old not having the visual aspect. No sideband here, nothing. Cell phone even has bad signal strength. TV.....ha! Crap shoot, put up new antenna and had one good evening enjoying some added channels, then it all dropped. In a black hole of RF.o_O

The 102" won't be here until Wednesday.
Had one mounted to the side of my parents house, not the top but where the gutter is, when I was 12 or 13 years old. That thing was great. The radio was a Montgomery Wards 775.
My sister's boyfriend had an extra base antenna they mounted it at the peak of the house. What a piece of crap that was.
Still have the wards 775 and it works well.
