the place your ordered it from is a good place to deal with. I've dealt with him before.

enjoy your going to like it. I run mine in frequency mode makes it easier (for me) to go hi/low just by cranking around. I use the mic buttons. Cuts down any channel skipping.

Fresno Calif is where it.came from waiting on my mount I have a 5ft firestik with the tune tip I might use that but I have a 10k terminator but need the 3 magnet style mount for that.Nice set up you got there like.the one.on the bottom left good set.up

Stay away from the red devil mike. Like so many Astatic's the ptt switches are so crappy they sound like you're scrubbing it with steel wool when keyed.

I found that out on a rubberized version turned out being the plastic push lever and the round part it pivots on. Used a little bit of dielectric grease and cleared it up but for how long we'll see.

Had everything hooked up used a universal firestik mount.I put my firestik on some reason couldn't adjust swr's the swr protection kicked on even when I shut it off to try to adjust.I think I'm going to get a magnet mount for my other antenna

That's odd. I run a 5' FireStik on my rear quarter of my truck and never had the issue.

Try a Wilson 5000 maybe.

I was going to ask you about that. I used the factory FireStik coax which is gimpy. I made sure that is was good. It does flex abit at the connector since it's wimpy.

Mine gets out fine and lots of skip contacts running it. Granted mine is a 5' model.

This one I have is 5ft had it for a few years try it again tonight see what happens
