11 meter is very quiet?

Which ones?
And if those will work I will order them now, unless you see something else on Amazon that will work.
I built the one I have. That's even more of a crap shoot. Read up on what Slowmover sent you. It's good practical sense. There are many out there. I'm not surfing Amazon rt now, not trying to spend any more than needed. When I go there I get stupid and spend money. Spent thousands there lately, I need Amazon Anonymous.

The pole, and the pole before it are on my property. Yes two poles to get to the house. Its almost 800' to the rd
I'm 786' in to drop. VEC (Victoria Elect Co-Op) replaced mine. They are responsible for service up to the transformer, yours is the drop from transformer to residence. Even though you paid for the poles and installation, they provide service up to transformer.

Reading up on this.
Thanks
Slow is like a mobile guru. OTR driver. He's got some good stuff on mobiles. Too much stuff, high dollar stuff, but does his stuff right. More better than most. And he's from The Republic of Texas. (Just in case he's reading this).

I am . . . . therefore, I spend.

God-like enough for you? Those are my “American” credentials the Enemy would have us believe: Spend, and thou shall be as gods.

My excuse is that I can in no way afford drinking, gambling, women. Nor cars, gun-collecting or travel to exotic places. Etc.

Further, with a big truck it’s fun to experiment. What doesn’t work here MAY in the pickup or aluminum travel trailer. Or given to my son. I am merely the first of many stewards. (ha!)

Then, throwing money at something defines “amateur-ish”. Facsimile of a true amateur. (No, no, don’t look at me . . THE GEAR!!).

I like to think I can someday retire from full-time work (am home 3-4/days per month). What I buy today might actually be useful once I’ve learned something worth knowing. Or trade it to the next guy like me.

Whatever conceit works . . works. The daily dose of cod-liver oil may be more tasty to others than me. Being new (ignorant) isn’t the problem, it’s in coming back for more.

“May I have another one, sir”.

I forgot about this. This is probably why the noise wont go away when I get home.
So an antenna on the house probably wont work for crap

I have one too. It's on the N/E corner of my property. I get about a S4 of noise. When I turn on the florescent lights in my garage the noise level increases to S8.
The S4 isn't bad I deal with it. I keep the lights off in the garage when I'm on the radio.
