I'm referring to that which I fear the most.
Our Infrastructure on many levels has been stripped bare, sent overseas with our blessings of "its too redundant for us to make it. It costs more $$$ here, you take it..."
NAFTA should have been the biggest Loser sign we ever needed to remember.
In 2008 I was scrambling because of a Union shop and it's wages were going over the border with another forkful going overseas to make the parts and the plastic injection molding even cheaper to produce so they can maintain that profit margin from the competition that was accepting the very said technology, and then the overseas began the process of mass producing all the parts for both it's industry to supply our needs, and the supplemental industry that supplied it the "go ahead - full steam" with a manual on how to keep it going - only with both itself, and the supplemental - being the "competition" we see here in our shores.
Funny - it's all made within the same regions and even the same factories they make parts for their own equipment to sell it here, the technology we sent there, back to us, in the States...
Our evidence alone here is showing our inability to remain homogenous throughout this crisis and take care of ourselves.
We got caught unprepared for a war before, this is no different - and I have said before - and people get tired of it, we need to keep our industry strong for otherwise we become overtaken by the very ones we make our military defend against.
So keep taking about the Coronavirus - because it may be the demarcation line of such an event that we remember the good old days as Before the great Die Off, and After The Great Die Off.
Extinction was already used for the Dinosaurs, but then, when you're the last one left, use what you wish - but remember to turn off the lights when you're done.

Every country that has suffered because of a weaponized virus from China has a legal right to confiscate and hold any Chinese money, property, and businesses in their country.
So; who is holding whom for ransom in that situation? Deaths and cost of infrastructure to the gov't and people respectively is only a decision by each of the many countries affected. The 2.6trln? Loss of revenues in business? Guess who? Wrongful death suits against the accounts of the CCP? Wonder how much that will all cost? Could it be as much - or more - than the Chinese had invested? Could be; maybe not? We will see . . .
As far as rebuilding infrastructure, we still have steel and other critical points. Smaller mfg and even large mfrs will now find lots of space in the US for new business and countless job opportunities for its citizens. It isn't all roses; since machine shops and training people for the many tech positions will be the largest concerns at this point. BTW, this has already begun. Includes Canada, the EU, and the UK, as well as many others too.
It is also potentially dangerous, because these thing could cause the collapse of the CCP. Imagine if the tables have been turned. Oh, wait . . .
Dark thoughts there. Keep on the sunny side. After it's all over, those Chinese goods will be flowing back in.
I wish I was as optimistic as many of you - but I also did not mention China...
Whom else may have a stake in this that we have not heard much from lately...?
But Might makes Right and whomever has the greater military power will win in any case - they've survived the epidemic and upheld enough military prowess to obtain - while we lost too many, to defend them against.
It is a possible scenario I don't like to face, but it is a possible outcome WE as a Nation of what remains - may have to face...
I intend to defend my right to make a stand for what I hold and believe in - and I will not go down without a fight.

This was exactly the point I wanted to state...
If we remain too "self-centered" on Social Media - Social Media will win in this - because of the virtual panic and hysteria this virus portrays. Whomever controls the Social Media - like that of Religion - it will be the "opiate of the masses"
When you look at the facts we've learned about this virus, there is a cause for concern for the overall welfare of the country because we do not have a "known" defense against a biological Viri such as COVid-19 had been portrayed to be.
But yet, can it's history be determined?
When we look at the Anthrax scare that made many avoid going to the Mailbox - this very disease spreads thru contact with surfaces the virus can still live on even though it has no direct means to feed itself - only replicate.
So that means it has some type of Protein coat that can protect it from the environment if only for a short time. But it too, means that it has only the protein coat in which to live within - not necessarily replicate using...
We've survived many others, you are a product of that - thank Mom and Dad for keeping you healthy.
And like the responsibility of Pet ownership and Animal Husbandry - they made efforts of making sure you've "had all your shots".
But this is a battle of wits your body has to face, you have no recourse except to go through it when you get it.

A lot of that depends on your Genealogy and whom in your family passed along the DNA instructions for your Immune system to handle and dispose of such a parasite? It may not be the direct descendent of a previous Virus but if it's coding is similar - your body can manufacture a means to identify and defend itself against it.
So no, I was referring to whom may be strong enough to survive this onslaught - we will have to recover from it.
We just don't know how many are going to be terminally ill from this.
I'm not trying to be cruel, However in the past year, I (we) lost Wanda to a simpler Flu virus - but she also had A-Fib weak bones and Thyroid issues - so she was a walking miracle to even have lived this long with all the elements of fate against her and what she was born with (or without) crippling her.
To see that event first hand, and knowing of the unknown of what this epidemic can do and the possibility it can strike our family again - I worry for all of us.
How many will we lose in this group of friends that have a common ancestor of Radio as their means to stay together thru this adversity or any other?
I hope we all can stay together thru this, and come out stranger - standing together knowing we were prepared and survived because we have our ancestors to thank for what we were given in instructions our bodies can produce to protect itself.
We just need to convince our minds of that very same thing.
I personally don't feel this CHINESE VIRUS was a natural progression from bats and snakes. Though, they state it is. How easily a mad scientist can manipulate nature. I agree China needs it's feet held very close to the fire for this. Strip them of all holdings in the US. Disavow them payment for loans. Call me a racists if you will, but it came from China. Really pisses me off that alot of the parts sitting on my porch for the ram come from "China". The radiator, full aluminium build, came a week or so ago, and I am reluctant to install.
