DX engineering Coax

Dx engineering is a great company in general as well. Cant go wrong

Agreed. As with years ago my many purchases from Summit Racing.

The catalog is easy to use. Saving a small amount over the prices at DX is usually offset by shipping cost & timeliness. While I’ve likely used over a dozen suppliers online the last two years, it’s easy to recommend DX-E to anyone for quality perceived and received.

I last year ordered a handful of pre-made coax jumpers and a length of $$ coax which performed as I hoped.

Now, had I a base station setup with long runs envisioned I’d try other suppliers as well. Same as with copper braid for bonding. A few jumpers from DX-E. 65’ roll from someone else. (The closer I get to true DIY, the more this will change).

A catalog with depth & breadth makes bundling together several items easier with the shipping costs. DX-E not the only ones, but others tend to more specialization. As GP go-to, it’s great.

I’ve learned the hard way that some brands are not worth buying (independent of online retailer). A company with volume the size of DX-E can’t really afford the returns on shoddy products. It’s NOT a guarantee, but it does temper my impulse if DX-E (and other large players) don’t carry a line or item.

Those coax jumpers? So much better than the truckstop stuff it wasn’t funny. Other drivers and I find it irritating that — given we have no problem with accepting the price of convenience; glad it’s available — that the TS chains pander such rip-off quality on nearly every tool or supply item not independently branded.

Literally, you can’t find worse.

Pay more? Sure. Don’t want to have to keep buying it.
Or take apart a repair and start over again.

One knows he’s being “served” by Globalists who could give a damn about America when this is the case. Service or Supply.

Remember this about mobile radio. On the road, and in need of anything to effect electrical (radio rig) repair. Radio Shack is gone. HD & Lowe’s carry nearly nothing worthwhile. The telecom in town isn’t open to you. CB shops are few and far between. Often with no better suppliers than the truckstops when found.

It’s easy to stack or squirrel supply when at home. Not so, on the road. Been made intentionally unfriendly as byproduct of monopoly practice.

A shadow rig is pretty well mandatory. Complete.
To the point it pretty well tests the same.

If the current mobile rig doesn’t survive conditions-encountered, alternative mounts, antenna, etc, needs to be carried.

At least with DX-E coax it’s a known quality item. Check it off the list.

Lol! Another "Older", thread! Find me the GOLDEN SHOVEL!
Anyway, I recently bought 35 ft of the DX Engineering "low loss", RG8X and it is definitely some good coax. I recommend it if anyone is looking for RG8X.
