Just ordered a 3 element Sirio (says new upgraded version)

Is almost like the old one but you can tune to 26.500 and up to 10 Meters cutting part of the elements

The old one only works from 27.000 and up,the difference is for low band

I set up a new one this morning SWR 1.2 and 53 R at 26.500 with a good 500 Khz up and down bandwith from the center frequency

So, you didn't cut it at all?

Just rummaging thru the box, it looks decently made. The preset hubs is mighty convenient. Gonna take my time and piddle with it. Just obsessing over the center frequency. From the comments I've read about it being cheap and flimsy, I ain't seeing any of that.

Looks like they intermingled parts from another antenna. There are 4, 1" ish U-bolts included that obviously aren't part of the antenna. Being stainless, I'll add them to my junkbox. It is a drag. I was going to install it tomorrow. I could get what I need from the local hardware, but I just haven't been going anywhere. I specified exactly what I needed. Just need to wait until they ship.

I have dry fitted everything together. Still deciding on measurements. I'm not going to cut anything. I might take a couple extra days and experiment with different chart lengths. For what this is and the price, I think it was a good buy. Looks like a decently made antenna. The sagging is nice. At least they aren't Cushcraft with rough edges and full of burrs.

I chose 27.0. It'd be up today if it wasn't missing parts.
