11 meter is very quiet?

I live 55 miles north of Mobile, Al. All those guys on bases, running anywhere from 16 to 64 pills, shooting up North over my head just covers me up. About the only thing I would be able to do is plug their ears.
That 55 miles is enough that one day you'll have prop when they don't

Colorado was loud yesterday. Unusual to hear Denver, but it was nice to hear. Then it shifted to GA And Louisiana. No contacts tho.
Yesterday I had very good conditions, I worked many stations using only my old president mckinley, I dont own an amp, I do everything legal on 11 meters.
Yesterday reminded me why I don’t need an amp. If I could hear them I could work them. When propagation is good it’s amazing what can be done with 12watts. It’s just been so long that I had almost forgot what it’s like.

Same here with the watt dollars but it does feel good when u can talk a little skip barefoot
I can hear all the guys from AL shooting North. I guy the skip I hear in 19 is probably bleed over from 20. Channel 6 comes in well for me.

First station I ever made contact with on skip was red rock out of Tennessee
I just got home but was listening to some skip on 28 on the ride.....there was this hand that almost buried my needle.... He was in MN.... I could never reach him but was telling someone (who I couldn't hear) that he was running an old corbra 25 and a 2 pill....on a firestick... In a damn Honda civic...my ambitions have just changed.. LOL
I worked today so I havent been in the shack but to warm things up.

I'm still amazed at how you can be 20 mile apart from someone, on the same channel, talking to 2 different people and never hear each other or the people they're talking to.
Skip takes out all my neighbors except the big ones. When skip is heavy ill hear Mr.521 Dirty White Boy and Charlie Horse aka Mr. Breeze. Everyone else is in the hornets nest.
