my layfayette might be rare,most didnt have transmit on vhf but a very few slipped in that would.i got 1.i used it lots when all hiway patrol used vhf.sure helped crossing the usa in the 55 mph days
Compared to an AH-100, a lot better, but the circuitry was delicate, probably a lack of quality control at the factory. It was ballsy for Midland to sell this model. I guess someone in the company was a really big fan of SSB.
