I mailed a package back in January of this year. Tracking stopped for about a month no sign of anything. Finally the package showed up at this persons house . My box had been ran over my crushed box what was left of it was put into another box and delivered the the person with a sticker that said sorry we are not perfect and sometimes make a mistake. I filed a claim with pictures. and copies of receipts. Got my second appeal back yesterday the ass holes are not paying.

I only have had one other problem like this with UPS. They handled it very professionally. I will no longer ship USPS. I will still use there free boxes and use them at fed ex and ups locations.

I had usps destroy my shipment like four times in my life and all times they said the same thing. We are not gonna pay, we are not responsible. Ok soooo, i pay you to handle and care for my packages and deliver it. I pay for insurance as well but when you completely destroy my item its not your fault, shit happens. Better luck next time. They are government funded. Their not gonna take responsibility and just give you money back. Pshh, they just like to take it.

I've dodged the "lost" or "damaged" bullet thus far. Considering the amount of packages that have either arrived or departed from me I think they've been doing pretty good. However, I would expect them to pony up for something that was insured and damaged in transit. Thanks for the head's up...

Id drive around and glue a bunch of mailbox doors shut with silicone. Different areas every week till i felt satisfied i cost the usps a bunch of aggravation equal to what they owe me.
I can be a real asshole when forced...

USPS insurance can be costly if you the shipper are paying, been selling used motorcycle parts on eBay for 20 years, I have a rule" If you can throw the package 15 feet and it not get damaged your good to ship" I don't have much experience shipping radio equipment, the stuff I have received was double boxed with plastic air pillows between the boxes, always a risk, if it's a high dollar item, purchase the extra insurance, other wise USPS only pays $50
Never had a claim, 15 foot rule works for me so far
