I've had my HR-2510 for about 13-14 years , and it's always been a good radio for me ... until recently . It had been my main radio for the majority of the time that I've owned it , until I inherited my Grandmothers Cobra 2000GTL about a year (or so) ago ... then I stored it away . About 2 months ago , I took it back out of storage and hooked it up . But when I turned it on , it didn't have any display , and it doesn't have any key up . It worked good the last time I used it , and then it does this out of nowhere .

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on with it ??

The electrolytic caps have most likely gone bad. There is also the possibility that the glue used throughout the radio has gone acidic and eaten away at some traces.
My guess is it's most likely the caps to blame.

Try turning it on and leaving it for a while and see if the display comes back. I have seen that a couple of times.

I forgot to mention that it does power up when I turn it on ... it just doesn't have key up , or display . I was just hoping it wasn't a processor or something like that .

Thanks Midnight Special . I had no idea that it was possible to reset an HR-2510 , so I looked up doing the reset ... followed the instructions , and now it's back to normal .... I greatly appreciate your help .
Any chance you could forward on the link to reset it. Thanks
