he stopped responding to all forms of contact.

Very odd. Maybe someone on the 6 meter band could ask him why that is the case.

There have been several threads about the status of Mike’s Radio Repair, and many people are understandably concerned about sending radios to Mike, when they can’t have communication with him directly, either by email or phone. I have had some people ask me for his contact info, but when I told them he won’t respond to their emails or calls, they get pissed about that. I get it.

If you are uncomfortable sending a radio to someone without being able to contact them, that is understandable, and Mike’s Radio Repair probably isn’t for you. Over the years, I have always just sent the radio in, and waited to hear back from him, and it has all worked out for me. I have an established history with this guy, and have had no issues doing business with him in this manner. I have sent Mike about 7 radios in the past 4 years, and I just sent one about a week ago. I also have a friend that just got his radio back in about a 3 week turn around time, so I know Mike is still in business as of late July 2020.

For those people who say Mike has taken their money and not returned their radio, they have a real option besides complaining about it on a forum. I was in law enforcement in Pennsylvania. If you sent Mike a radio, and you feel you have been ripped off, you can always try to contact the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office to see if there are any remedies you can pursue.
