Probably RF getting back into the supply. My old ex Compaq server switching supply would shutdown completely with 6m as soon as I hit tx. Ferrites didn't help so it's just the emergency spare.
If you still have this power supply i can photograph mine and then you can reconnect your wires.
these are a very good PSU and I use mine as power for CB and Ham radios on my test bench here in QUEENSLAND.

Heavy damn thing it was. The overload on it failed, then the replacement failed. Lugging it around when moving house. Not hurrying to buy another one
Fast forward 13 years and it has been retired for a while now & replaced with a cheap & cheerful (and very light) 40A switchmode power supply.
