11 meter is very quiet?

I live in rural area have not heard a soul in days?
About a month ago I had my radio set on ch 8, volume way up.About 1:30 am I woke up to what I thought was truckers. Then I looked at the time. I am in Northern California. The station was in Washinton. Crystal clear talked for about 45 min then out again. KM6YDW

Probably log truckers. Thats all i had to talk to in WA state most of the time.

I made a few contacts today on both AM and LSB, not the best of conditions though. I heard skipshooter 357 magnum. I tried but you couldn't hear me. Anyway I am usually home on the weekends. But am out this time. Sitting in a hotel room east of Abilene with my babies, just in case some one wants a five finger discount.

Another Red Letter Day.

Every channel plus upper and lower filled with yakity-yak.

Even heard ol’ Shadetree Mech on AM-19 after 1800 Eastern:

“Two Dollah Station, Two Dollah Station, Two Dollah Station around Delaware” (repeat as a triple every 3-secs).

Didn’t know you could do a Jamaican accent!! Couldn’t be anyone else; shoot, ain’t elbow room but for five or six of y’all in that teeny state.

Red Letter, because it’s the second busiest or busiest day I’ve ever heard (Not yet a year of paying attention).

From South Bend, IN towards Chicagoland and now safely past St Louis, MO. Only “quiet” about an hour. Not silent.
