We are ok. The hurricane didn't get us. We are just getting very heavy rain from the fallout and now our county is under severe flood watch for the next 24 hours. I did hear some talk on channel 20am this afternoon that a tornado was seen in Winston and Cullman counties, so I think they had some damage there. Thanks for asking.

Dead quiet here. Once in a while the islands pop in then right back out.
First time ever got a comeback from down south on Channel 6 was today. Just picked up my Texas Ranger 696 FD1 from Bobs CB. It was making a "snap" noise on key up. I had the DK lowered to 1.5 watts to drive an amp. It has a Top Gun MD 1 in it that Bob installed about 10 years ago. The "snap" is gone. I decided to put my Astatic Road Devil on it and try it barefoot. Anyway channel 6 was quiet and skip conditions must be right. I got comeback for one of the southern gentleman on 6. I announce I was keying up on a mud duck radio and he gave a come back he found the mud duck thing amusing.

I keep keying up in my local area whenever I’m on the road. Even between stores when grocery shopping. I can usually pickup a over the road driver or similar. But at best I’ll get back a “yep hi”.
