Turner+ 2 mic in a Stryker 955 radio

My guess is that, being the vintage it is, the Plus 2 may be a high impedance microphone. You'll have to find the specs. Pretty certain any radios made within the last 30 years or more are probably low impedance units. With an impedance mismatch you may find the audio quality lacking a bit AND you may have to bump the gain up a bit more than usual, which could cause some distortion. I would suggest you find the specs on the mic and then check the manual for the radio to see if they match. 600 ohms to 5k ohms is a pretty large mismatch.
