Guys has anyone saw Roosters videos of these beams? They look pretty interesting to me. According to the videos the seem pretty broad banded for a big yagi. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks BJ interesting info there. The fact they build and tune the beam before u get it and mark where everything goes so no guess work or measuring to do. I really like the direct feed with the balun. Any thoughts guys?

I built a six element 6m OWA several years ago using tubing from an old Wilson Shooting Star. It works VERY well with a really tight pattern. The OWA stands for Optimized Wideband Array however I would not say it is really wideband. I forget the SWR bandwidth on it but I just care about the bottom 500KHz of so of the band anyway. Many people comment about the really close spacing of the reflector, driver, and first director element but it allows heavy coupling and enhances the forward pattern. I use a coaxial balun at the feedpoint as well. Here it is on the ground as seen from the top of my tower. A pair of 13B2's for 2m are on either side. 2012-08-22_15-19-24_695.jpg
