Need radio repair?

Has anyone seen less over all output when doing this seems to me that my radio doesn't do as much pep out put with the switching supply. I was under the impression that the voltage that went to the amp board was higher on the amp section for some reason think I set my voltage at about 14.6v

Hey guys, first post here...I have to say ranger is bad bad bad for letting this radio get out on the market..I made the mistake of buying one two months ago , and have sent it in twice.... when the first color display/ rt-1 finals showed up...I like the swing and the pep rating ( 200 watts )... Take notice all the 2995s that were stuffed with rt-1s may just take a quick ride back to the left coast. On the second trip ( paid for by ranger, and the first should have ) they pulled the r-1 board and replaced it with the 520s,,iT is not really the outcome I desired and what the heck kind of recourse do I have...Im over their barrel and they know it..!! ! Make your case known and at least get them to belly up to shipping...also the display lites are a trip...CRAP ...asked them to fix this too....waste of breath YMMV....Dan

So I take it the RT1's smoked? I'd wondered how they were working out in all these new radios.. With the 39vhp's and 69vhp's having the same fets we might soon start to see them with the same issues....

My brother just bought a 2950CD.
Right out of the box the SO 239 on the back of the radio was loose, when he went to screw the coax on the back of the radio it twisted and broke the wire off from the board to the SO 239.
First repair 2 minutes out of the box.
What has happened to QC?

Heard Ping (owner) fired Eric Lewis over this, also supposed to be moving oversea operations to the states...who knows..but man what a way to kill a company, no engineering, no marketing and the support is terrible, but trying to say all their defective rt-1s are customer issues is bull..and they should have recalled these radios...

I'm curious, who did you contact for customer support? From what I've learned, there's no direct communication with anyone from Ranger at all... Just shops who state they do their warranty services but even then it's only what we're told.

Not sure what rt1s even are probably some shitty dei clone or rebrand like pp100 sorry to hear this for sure. Still have my questions about the power supply "upgrade" though as well.

I was under the impression that the older iron core delivered higher voltage to the amp section it self seems like the radio doesn't seem like it puts out what it used to with the iron core.
