Hi Gang,
I hope everyone is staying as safe as possible!!!
I have on the bench a Yaesu FT 840 which quit transmitting. The gentleman who owns it bought it new. The first thing I did was to work on replacing the nuclear resistor (R2213) and all of the parts around it. One problem I had was when removing the board the connector that the 6 pins from the regulator connect to (J2026) essentially disintegrated. The excessive heat from R2213 baked the plastic and it acted like vintage bakelite. I would love to replace it with a new J2026 but I contacted Yaesu and I got crickets. Not actual crickets you understand My question is, does anyone know of a way to get this replacement or do you have any suggestions how to make this work while keeping it capable of separating as needed?
Thanks as always!!!
