I got an Alexa for Christmas one time. Threw it in the trash and kept the cord as a phone charger. Works pretty good.
Those things record everything. The Samsung TVs do too.

Yup they all can spy on your conversations...might as well go get your DNA done with ancestry tv thing and give away your best secrets...lol it boggles my mind.
Let alone get weirdo's showing up claiming you to be their Dad.
So when it comes to 23 and Me, or Ancestry or others like it, best NOT TO CHECK THE BOX that says - OK to disclose my DNA for possible Ancestry Match.
You may want to keep your history private.
In specific cases, you may be better off not to know what happened - or how you got here.
It’s best NOT TO USE THEM AT ALL given who owns them.
They have the ha-ha funny tendency to “include” African or other ancestry you don’t possess (as it meets their idea of how the world really is. Tikkun Olam).
If you think it won’t be used against you, one of your great-great-grandkids will travel back in time to erase you.
Meh. Best case: I'm a lab experiment gone horribly wrong. Worst case: French ancestor.
