Anytone 5555 am modulation sounds weak

No big amps as I have close neighbors and the one was giving me hell just for running a stock radio. His shit was old 90s crap anyways. I think he got a new tv and got rid of his old stereo.

I'm wondering if the Lincoln 2 npc rwob mod would work? What my 5555 is doing is the limiter is super aggressive and drops the forward modulation way down to less than 60%. To me that is unacceptable..
 
Perhaps,just me thinkin but are you sure your locals aint pullin yer leg? Get trusted friend n let him talk to you on your radio and you listen to him on his radio.

One is a relative. He made a video of me talking and it really does sound like shit. My old Washington blows it away.

Well I believe what my cousin told me over anyone else. The case is closed, the radio has piss poor audio. I hooked up my old 23 ch sears roadtalker and the difference was night and day. Pretty sad when a 45 year old junky sears rolls over a brand new radio on am, lol.

haitachi built most of sears radios n were reguarded as fine radios. I got a slant face ssb sears i really like
 
I did the npc rc mod and it still sounds restricted even with a power mic. Is there a limiter I can remove?
