I bought a radio that has and rfx75 on it. It will talk fine for about 10 min then I lose all transmit and receive. Shut it off for a few min and it will work again. Also seems to have a very low dead key. Doesn’t even move the meter when I key up. I have not had any luck finding a local shop near WV to work on it for me. Any help y’all can offer? Maybe a good shop that can work on it?

Where about in WV are you located. There is a CB shop in Morgantown called Cobra CB Shop. Gary’s been in business since 1976. He will give it to you straight on what needs to be done. I have not had any work done by this gentleman, but there is Klein Electronics in Parkersburg, WV. Both have contact info on FB. Hope it helps.
If neither of those options work for you Doug at https://www.customcbradios.com/ used to install lots of RFX units. He even installed them on radio's other shops could not get them to function correctly on. Good luck.
I have had Gary do work on a few of my other radios but he won’t work on this one.
Leads me to the conclusion that anyone who agrees to work on it probably shouldn't be allowed to?
More than one version of the RFX. Later ones were better. Earliest version was failure-prone.
