Hi all,

I’m interested in adding a ground-on-xmit output to my galaxy 959 but the question pertains to any similar radio.

The ground path established during PTT won’t need to handle any significant current, 50mA at most.

This should be similar to an amp keyer circuit which but without the need to switch higher current.

Unfortunately I haven’t found much literature on the topic of adding amp keyer circuits to these radios.

Any pointers?
Thanks & 73’s!

This is how we have been doing it for years.

The price is stupidly high, compared to what appears on a customer's repair invoice when we install one. That's just the reality of Ebay-nomics.

Nothing tricky about it.

Does serve to isolate the ground on the keying cord from ground in the radio.
