Help would be greatly appreciated on how to tune up this amp and what kind of power to drive it with. I have no idea about the make of it other than it has what looks like MADA on the front.
It has two adjustments on the end, tune and load. Also, there is an adjustment on the back that says grid.
There are no meters. I did hook it up and made some adjustments but really did't know what to do. It makes power with me putting about 4 watts in but the relay was kicking in and out. Thanks in advance. Mike

How to tune a tube amp. | WorldwideDX Radio Forum

That amp should be roughly 150 watts PEP out...(about 40 watts per tube in new condition)
Drive level: about 4 watts carrier with PEP MAX 15-20 watts
That thing needs a serious cleaning. I am guessing you just acquired it. (?)
Most likely needs High Voltage power supply caps updated, and ALL tubes checked before operation of any great usage. May go BANG at any point without some attention.(50+ yrs old)
Good for AM operation only, junk for SSB without modification.

This diagram will most likely be close BUT not exact to design.

Thanks for the info. Yes, The pictures were taken prior to cleaning. I did power it up and it made power. I will probably just put it back on the shelf. I don;t know the first thing about working on it. Thanks again.
