Another from Ranger RCI-X9

@Slowmover

It's the physics of the situation you describe, that reminds me of the many times I could have been found parboiled.

There were many times I thought my Pop-Up timer went off on those HOT days...

The X9 kind of reminds me of this radio from years back. Same size, same bezel style and power output is similar also. The 2879 is very unlikely but wonder if it's a similar amplifier placement or main pcb.

I never held a mirage stealth so I don't know but just maybe there's some old technology reincarnated for the nowScreenshot_20210301-200530_Chrome.jpg

Back to the x9, it's interesting that one such shop with that magic pixie dust said this radio needed lots of reworking to clean it up.

Matt says it cleans up really well with some tuning....

Watch for yourself

Not advocating either way, just crazy how there's two different perspectives on it.

Is it because a guy believes he's the only one competent enough to make it cleaner and meaner.....

Not sure why so many AM/FM Mobiles and pricey ones at that on the market.
If you can even get your hands on them. Seems the shortage is supposed to continue for a longer period so is said. I heard from a dealer what I'd heard from a forum member here, ranger shut down its manufacturing sites after it finished pumping out what they had to build. Supposedly a semiconductor shortage like the auto industry is saying.

True or not.... who really knows amongst the other non-truths we're told.

Yes, there is some truth to that. Seems like the consumer is getting gouged on these high dollar AM/FM radios when they are available. But who am I at the end of the day.
