Anyone remember years ago there was a key up entry tone that sounded a bit like a laser?
They would key up and there would be a momentary Pssshheeeeewwww sound then they would speak? I know I know but I want it.
I wanted it 15-20 years ago when I took a hiatus from radios and I want it now that I'm starting up again... Any help deeply appriciated. Most folks have no idea what I'm talking about I hope someone here does.

Yes and no. Yes the timing of the sound and no on the sound.
This one I recall sounded more like PEEEEESSHEEWWWWWWWWW with a decending tone vs ascending. And the one I recall was a much deeper fuller sound ..

This is similar not quite as full and broad sounding but this is definantly the right sound pattern though!

And the one remember was FOR SURE AM thats all the guy that had it ran no SSB.
It was a similar tone pattern but was much fuller he called it a thunderbolt or something but it was like that noise only KAAA ppsshhhheeeeewwwww sounding. Fairly sure his was some kind of noise toy set to key on entry.

It was similar to the VFO thing ... Like this. And the earlier post from Kahuna. I remember it being fuller sounding not so "thin" but in this vein.

It may be my memory is faulty. Its many years ago and these two VFO windups do sound about like it.
