Hi All ! We All know I asked a lot of questions when I started reloading my Rifle/Pistol Ammo . I've never owned a Shot Shell Loader , Last time I used one I think I was 15( Single Stage ) ? I'm 67 now :whistle: . I started looking for one , a friend in Fla found it for me here in RI . Mec 9000G Progressive Loader $200 good deal for what I see them selling for on Flea Bay ) . I know it should be simple , but as always I research the crap out of everything . It seems to cycle awesome , just got a rebuild , still think this thing is amazing w/ the thought put into how to make a shotgun shell more than one @ a time , just putting & empty's in & they come out done . I haven't made a shell yet but read something in Manual about Wad Pressure Adjustment . Realize I just got this but just scanning , not sure I saw any " Wad Pressure " setting on a powder loading chart . Asking here before I start bugging S&W357 " My Big Brother Ralph " . Thanks ! Loading shot shells while waiting sounds good.

Wad Pressure Gauge. o_O I may be wrong but I would just use that (if at all) as a reference point for loading consistency shell-to-shell.

Pressure of the wad against the powder should be what ever is required to allow a constant shell after shell after shell secure top end crimp of each loaded round that stays tightly in place and does not start creeping open after time.

After once finding that “sweet spot” use the gauge to assure that.

I think. :whistle: That’s my story and I’m sticking to it...and don’t pinch your fingers using that dang loader Leo. :rolleyes:

:ROFLMAO: Well I told Ralph via LL trying to see how it works ... yup I pinched my Finger :ROFLMAO::rolleyes: I won't do that again . I got it on the Wad pressure Ralph , not going to touch it unless I need to . Now try & find the stuff I need to reload only lead I see available is Trap Load , NG for me . Anyone ever try loading Crossman BB's ? I have plenty of them . I read some do it but also not good for the barrel because of the grade of steel they are made from , shouldn't the right Wad take care of that ? :confused: I might try loading some and use them in my Old " Beater " H & R single shot . I had never seen anyone do this other than in a movie and with rock salt. My fathers family has two family long guns that get handed down to oldest son. One is a Damascus barrel side by side. It used black powder and paper shells. My father always told me last time he had seen my grandfather shot it. It was loaded with popcorn. I assumed someone handloaded them of course, but I always pictured Orville Redenbacher low brass.
