Turner plus # mic information

Went to fire up the turner plus 3 mic and no audio.

changed the battery and the same.

I removed the element and ohmed it out and nothing.

Should there be some reading across the 2 terminals of the element.

Has anyone replaced the element with something else as I have tried to locate an element and cant seem to find.

Tried ebay and searched the web nothing.

So is there a good sounding replacement for the plus 3 and the space is limited to fit into the head bracket.

just curious,, did ya make sure the relay coming from the negative side of battery was not corroded? since 9 volts gets thru that when it contacts tendency to burn and corrode,,, a good cleaning and might come back to life,,,,,,
 
yes checked out the mic contacts and all are good also cleaned them. Im sure its the element as there is not ohm readout on it. As that was a question i posted is there suppose to be some reading across the element post.
