ok this is the deal i have a 8 tube echo/ same as elite!!! it has 8 brand new tubes just changed them the problem im haveing started before i changed the tubes out this amp on high with supermod on only deadkeys 20 swings 800 pep max this amp when i got it years ago max pep was about 950pep i dont see that anymore. and another thying is when i am loaded it sometime i have got to mess with the load awhile to get it to load right i used to be able to turn mic gain of and load then adjust with audio i cant do it anymore only with audio now so i was wondering if im haveing a problem with the tuning circuit or something can someone give me ideas or someone that a pro with this paticular amp i can send it to. thanks!!!!!!!!

IVE HAD MANY ELKINS AND JUST TRADED A BRAND NEW 6 TUBE ELITE. SEND IT TO THE MAN RAY IN ELKIN N.C. HE BIULT THEM HE CAN MAKE THEM RIGHT AGIAN. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!
I think he is about the only person that can really repair one of those amps.. He is a great tech.
if you dont or cant get that info ,try alan at ..tubesplus.com...he is very knowledgable in the tube amp department.he will even offer advise ,help you thru emails ..ect....very nice guy and he knows his stuff.

Since it is a tube amplifier, you may have to neutralize (cancel) the plate (output) to grid (input) capacitance of the tubes since it provides negative feedback.

In the last 10 years that i have talked on radio i have never heard anyone say anything bad about him and he is not some CB hacker either! He has done radios for me in the past from Cobras to Trams and i have never had a problem.

YES HES HAD MY STALKER XX, MY TRAM D201, AND MY BROWNING MARK IV. HIS WORK ON THE TUBE RADIOS WAS AWESOME!! AND THE STALKER IS BETTER THAN NEW. HES A GREAT GUY AND VERRY NICE AND INTELLIGENT. ITS A 2 HOUR DRIVE FOR ME BUT ITS WORTH IT TO ME !!!
i know alot about ray just never delt with him i live near camp lejeune and i know its every bit of 6hrs to his shop i know he delt with the elkins but was he the one that also done the elite line??? ive heard different storys???
