Currently messing around with a RK 76 I picked up.

This one seems very unique in that it has a 9V battery and roger beeps built in and a different board than the others.

This is the old 7V version which I've seen before. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Yp8AAOSwDv5gf1AI/s-l1600.jpg

Older RK 76 Manual - http://www.radiomanual.info/schemi/ACC_microphone/Turner_RK70_RK70J_RK76_user.pdf

The older versions above were from the late 70's.

This version appears to be a later model after Turner was bought by Telex. The board itself is very interesting and has potentiometer as well as a chip with Telex 17 labeling. Not sure if it uses any type of compression.

Anyone have an information or history on this model? Never seen one before and going to make a video to document it.

Duracell battery that came out of it said good until 2003 :) I had trouble getting it out as it was all swollen but luckily it hadn't burst/leaked.

Made in the USA!!

That version is a real odd duck. The original RK76 seemed to have dropped out of sight in the late 80's and for a couple years the only thing they (Telex) offered was the RK56. In the 90's around the time the Cobra 2010 came out, this RK-76 popped up. If you have both RK-76 versions I'd sure like to see/hear one vs. the other...

I unfortunately don't have the old verison to compare. Haven't touched one of those in years.

Sounds good I'll look for your message - I did do a test on it initially and this mic sounds a little muffled to me. I may need to play with the internal control/external control and I also may re-wire it to 4 pin so I can test on some different radios to see how it sounds on each.

Just stumbled onto one of these. How did yours come out? Mine did work, but audio was intermittent. I sprayed deoxit into the switch and then the switch died. Going to have to check if the older type turner switch will work. Looks as if it may.
