Never seen one like this - super beefy. Looked more like an antenna you'd see on a military vehicle.

I was blown away by how massive it was in the lower fiberglass section - was very rigid as well, little to no sway through the whole antenna.

To me as well. Damned things were almost indestructible, and that little bulb on the tip, hurts when it comes swinging towards you. I seen someone get it in the back of his shoulder, bruised for weeks.
 
I see at least one screw together joint in the center of this whip, that probably alows for operation on different frequency ranges, by swapping out the top section. That may help to identify it.
 
There is a bunch of different military whip antennas for HF and VHF bands some of these antennas have a band select switch in the base of these antennas to select different parts of the VHF band, and for low power use of around 25 watts or so.
